Next Gen Showcase
This was a project that I did while I was still in school as part of the next gen showcase program. I was part of the technical team and was responsible for making the layout for the dark ride in our park area. Was a good learning experience because I knew very little about Dark rides prior to starting this project and this forced me to learn a lot about how they work and how to design for them.
There are a lot of things that I do not like about this layout and many things that are missing, but I think its important to look at the process I took to get there. Every thing was done from scratch In my free time using a mix of Revit, inventor and a bit of gravity sketch at the end just for fun.

Ride Animation and Capacity Study
along with doing the layout I also created the ride animation. I used adobe premier a long with the spec sheet given from the manufacturer of the ride vehicle and a lot of math to determine the timing of the rides show scenes. everything seen in this animation is to spec with the ride vehicles. they are all meant to move at very specific times so that a ride vehicle will not be seen by the vehicle behind it. also that there is enough time for the operators of the ride to safely dispatch vehicles in a timely matter. all of this adds up to a pretty satisfying ballet of vehicles moving around the track.
Creative works
while I was not on the creative team I still did some creative work on the project, mostly just for fun. Here are some of the drawing/models I made for the project… Most of it looks like garbage but it was still fun taking a crack at doing creative work if only to find out that I am should probably just stick to my day job
